About

Essays and reflections by a Bristol-based writer on creativity, culture, and technology.

I'm a writer based in Bristol, UK. I write about popular culture, technology, and the practice of writing.

I hold postgraduate degrees in creative writing from Cardiff University, including a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing.

I've written for the stage, with work produced in Bristol and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and I've spent many years working alongside other writers through workshops and local theatre companies.

Alongside my writing practice, I experiment with self-hosting, site design, and independent online publishing platforms such as WordPress and Ghost, with a particular interest in how technology shapes creative work.

This site is home to short essays rather than news or updates. Posts move between popular culture, technology, and writing, sometimes focusing on one, sometimes drawing connections between them.
